Celebrating Five Years of Leadership

No fooling around, on April Fool’s Day, Paula Powers-Watts took the reins to lead Credit Counseling Center as Executive Director. Her journey with CCC began in 2008, during the height of the U.S. economic downturn and housing crisis, when she joined the agency as a credit counselor, working directly with individuals and families facing urgent financial challenges.

Within just two years, her leadership and commitment advanced her to Director of Housing Counseling, where she became a strong advocate for foreclosure prevention and housing stability across the region.

Over the years, Paula has witnessed and helped guide the transformation of thousands of lives throughout Bucks County and Southeastern Pennsylvania. From families on the brink of foreclosure to individuals seeking control over their financial future, her work has centered on helping clients build confidence, develop strong financial habits, and achieve lasting stability.

Through advocacy, education, and compassionate leadership, Paula has empowered clients to master their personal financial agendas and move forward with clarity and purpose. Today, she continues to lead CCC with a vision rooted in financial empowerment, housing security, and meaningful community partnerships.

This Meet & Greet celebrates not only five years of leadership, but a continued commitment to helping individuals and families move from financial uncertainty to confidence and control.
