Bankruptcy support

If you are considering bankruptcy, or a court requires counseling before you file, myWaypoint is here. As a nonprofit approved by the U.S. Department of Justice, we provide the certified sessions the process requires, and we help you look honestly at every alternative first, with no judgment and no pressure. Many people leave a session realizing they have paths they had not considered. Others move forward with bankruptcy feeling informed and clear about what comes next.

How we help with bankruptcy:

01

Pre-filing credit counseling:

The certified session required before filing, plus a clear look at whether bankruptcy is your best option.

02

Pre-discharge debtor education:

The required course that helps you rebuild with confidence after filing.

03

Options review:

An honest, side-by-side look at bankruptcy and the alternatives, so you can decide what is right for you.
